A sequel to the international young adult bestseller, Parvanathis is the gripping story of a young girl’s journey in search of her family, somewhere in war-ravaged Afghanistan, and of her courage and compassion in the face of many shocking hardships along jkurney way. The Breadwinner was the first book written by Ellis. I personally thought that this novel was a great sequal.

Deborah Ellis has been to Afghan refugee camps and heard many stories like Parvana’s. One of my most favorit Just like the first book in this series, I thought this second book was just as great, but of course in a different way.

Although this book’s main conflict is also not solved by the characters really doing anything, I think it works much better in this case.
